Product Description
Brutus subwoofers have earned a reputation in the industry for producing some of the most efficient and loudest subwoofers in their class. The "BRZ" subwoofer series makes no exception featuring three models that are designed to deliver accurate bass reproduction through a wide range of frequencies with impressive power handling capabilities. Hifonics innovative dual spider spacing technology is used in this series to ensure robust sound year after year. This unique design separates the two spiders to maximize excursion outward and inward while maintaining optimal control. The result is an astonishing increase in SPL output and strength. The rubber surround provides long excursion while the heat-dispersing ported nickel-plated back plate and ultra-rigid stamped steel basket ensure durability and reliability. Polypropylene cone and nickel-plated push and insert speaker terminals keep the amps energy focused within the speaker's core. Dual 4-Ohm configurations offer flexibility in 12” and 15” round and 12” square sizes ideal for sealed or ported enclosures. Powerful bass reproduction is rated at 1200 W Maxx and 600 W RMS. Square vs. Round The unique square-shaped subwoofer allows approximately 20% more cone surface area for moving air and generating higher SPL than the same sized round woofer. The square shape is ideal when space becomes a challenge in the confines of a car something Hifonics refers to as "More Bass in Less Space." Square Brutus subwoofers utilize Hifonics unique rubber surround design, which addresses the non-linear cone behavior of a square coned low-frequency bass driver. The special ribs formed into the rubber surround at the corners prevent the surround from bending or folding while the cone travels up and down, adding improved sound quality.

hifonics brutus subwoofer

The Hifonics Brutus BRZ15D4 15 Woofer DVC 4 Ohm is one of or if not the best subwoofer I have ever purchased, its powerful mean subwoofer with bass that takes you breath away. Ill definitely be purchasing myself another one of these.

Where do I begin? Speaker arrived packaged very well. I have it paired to a cheap Boss 1200w amp and mounted in a 4.5 cubic foot box and this speaker slams!! Haven't even broken it in yet with 35 min of play time, but I love it already.. I have a grin on my face thinking about the HiFonics 1700w Class D that will be pushing this!! This is by far the best 15" sub you can get for the money.. Badly underated. Good Job HiFonics!! Home Run with this sub.. Now Im off to fix the dome light this sub broke. Just buy this sub already guys!!BTW: If you are going for SPL and not SQ, then a large PORTED box of at least 4 cubic feet tuned to 45hz is prescribed. This is from the HiFonics manual. The closest prefab box I could find was 4.5 cubic foot tuned to 40hz and I am weak at knees from the bass this sub INFLICTS on 400w rms!!! I wired the DVC to 2 ohms and I cant turn the volume past 3 in my apt complex without other folks giving me dirty looks. If you are new to this game, youtube has excellent vids on how to wire a DVC sub the right way.The box is an Atrend 15" SPL single box, which amazon also sells for under $120. I will attach a pic of the sub in an 01 Dodge Quad Cab..

I have two of these subs in a dual sealed enclosure with a Alpine V-Power MRP-M1000 wired as a 4 ohm mono load and these things pound hard!! I have already cracked my windshield trying to show off with the windows rolled up!!!! These things move so much air it make the coins in my cup holders look like they are levitating!!! Dont waste your money any another other sub for this price these perform way beyond expectation!!!!! My car has a very heavy reinforced trunk and it still flexs...
