Pyle’s Hydra series speakers are waterproof and designed for use in your boat, on the dock, by the pool, or simply mounted outside. They’re designed with rust-proof mesh covers for quality protection. The PLMR61W is a pair of 120-watt, 6.5” two-way, full-range speaker suitable for marine use. These white speakers are equipped with a polypropylene cone with cloth surround and 1” aluminum voice coil for accurate sound reproduction. The molded ABS plastic basket keeps your sound distortion-free. Package includes mounting hardware and wires.

My boat came with a JBL sound system. However after a few seasons some of the speakers were sounding scratchy. I replaced all my speakers with these Pyle speakers tied into their 4 channel amplifier.The sound quality is decent for a marine audio system. The response of the speakers is 45hz - 16khz which is on par for any of the speakers at this price point. The speakers lack low-end punch and have a tendency to distort at louder volumes if the bass is turned up. I paired these with a pair of 8" subs to fix the problem.Definitely not a high-end sound system but pretty decent for jamming tunes cruising on the water.The negative is that after a few years these speakers turned yellow due to being in the sun. Also a mild hail storm broke pieces off the front of the speaker covers.
