Got this to put in a 2008 Infiniti ex35 with Bose system. Powered by an old Memphis Audio PR-100.2 amp. Bridged to 1 channel @ 100 watts rms. amp is only turned to 3/5 of the way on the gain. Very impressed with the bass response for such a small unit. My car is a hatchback but has very little trunk space(had a 2006 sentra with more trunk space than this car!) Removed the factory Bose sub and had this professionally installed. Great sound from such little power. Will make everything shake and rattle inside the car. You can feel the sound too. Will probably get another one later on...

This may be one of the nicest subwoofers that JL makes. Not as loud as the W3 8" but they are tighter,faster, cleaner and dear I say they drop a bit lower. If you are a jazz or classical music lover look no farther. Do not get one get the pair. Limit the power to about 350 watts for the pair and you will be impressed. If you are looking for a constant boom this is not your sub. Clean tight accurate bass is what they are about. Check your power they don't make much distortion when they are past the X-max.
