i have been into car audio longer then most people reviewing this product have been alive and I have owned ALOT of equipmenti decided that my 07 edge factory sound system had to go and I had to do it on a tight budget so here is what I ended up doing.1 Rockford Fosgate Power 4004 MB Quart Discuss 6 x 84 ga wiring kit2 of these subsI spent a few hours plugging in the specs to blaubox and came up with 2 game plans and chose a small 1.3 cu ft sealed box because I listed to various genres of music.No longer being a professional installer it took me the entire weekend to put all this together because i ended building a 2nd 2.8 cu ft ported box due to a complete lack of bass below 60hz in the small sealed box.Now that it's all done and the woofers properly broke in I have a pretty good sounding system for not a ton of cash and I am happy with it for the most part but woofers aren't as musical or as tight (due to enclosure) as I would like them to be so if this sounds like you also , try a better grade of driver and spend the $$

Great subwoofer, it exceeded my expectations. At first I installed it inside an Atrend sealed Bbox, which is. 85 cubic feet and within Rockford Fosgate's specifications, it sounded ok since I installed it inside my trunk. However I wanted more bass using the same sub so I opted for A ported box instead. I purchased a Sound Ordinance box from Crutchfiled. It has 1.4 cubic feet of internal volume the recommended space from Rockford. This box was the only one with the correct internal volume I could find in the internet. What a world of a difference in sound. The P2 hits harder and with longer deeper bass notes I can now feel inside my car. My Alpine amp is tuned to tuned to the same settings as with the sealed box, but the sub is louder. Power efficiency is better achieved with ported box. So long story short, if your mounting this sub in a sealed trunk like mine separated from the passenger compartment go ported with the recommended internal volume. If you however, drive a wagon like a Scion Xb or something similar, a sealed box will hit hard and you'll feel and hear it. I recently installed a 10 inch P1 in my wife's Xb using my old Atrend Bbox powered by an MB Quart 400 watt rms monoblock and it sounds stupendous. I hope this helps and you are able to come a conclusion of using this great sub in a ported or sealed box.

Quick shipping!The shipping fee was around $30 bucks or soo, but that is because this "10 subwoofer is no joke at 2ohms and Dual Voice Coil Magnet! (It's going to be heavy)I only ask for additional speaking wiring diagrams in your ad.Other then that,Good product!Good Dealer!
