This product was received on time and was what I expected from the ad. I ordered the components 6.5 and they were complete different quality, so i returned them and re-order from this seller these 2-way. I haven't installed them yet to see their response in the car sound.

I bought these based on the specs and cool looks. Once received it was immediately apparent that the product I received was different from what's shown in the picture (this situation is the same with all sellers of this item). The crossovers and tweeters are correct, but the woofers are the same as the next model down. The bigger disappointment was in the sound, or more specifically the frequency response. The mid-range is way overemphasized and the tweeters are not nearly strong enough to keep up. The end result is music that is nowhere near accurate. The bass is also pretty weak compared to other 6.5 woofers. The basket looked like cast aluminum in the photos, but it's injected plastic, and the tweeters feel light and cheap. The crossovers look and feel nice, but I can't comment on the quality of components used. Compared to the $80 Lanzar Opti-6 component set I picked up, the BX set seems cheap and the sound doesn't come close. The only thing I liked about the BX was the push spring speaker wire connectors which were well made and easy to use -- I would like to see more speaker manufacturers use this type of connector. I cannot comment on any other Brand-X product, so it's probably not fair to assume that other BX products don't perform well. If you like a very strong mid-range sound with subdued highs and high efficiency, this could be the set for you, especially at such a low price ($50 shipped at VM Innovations). I prefer a more balanced sound with detailed highs -- the MB Quart PVL-216 components fulfill this very nicely IMO.
