Put it in the center seat of my Avalanche (rip out the foam and hide the box). Nice tight Bass un-ported. Great speaker with decent amp at 150 watts RMS. I used to install high end stereos in vehicles before becoming an Engineer. Always liked the sound of tight, unported bass, 8's or 10's. Lets get real, who wants to lose storage space. Shouldn't have to give up back seat/trunk for bass. Manufacturer recommends 1.3 cubic ft which is much less space than other brands. I got 1.2 ft (inside box dim)and it sounds great. Great deal for the money..got the 4 channel RF Mono capable amp for $110, component speakers for $105 and this sub for $50. You can get a lot more for your money nowadays...

Bought this to replace a torn 8" subwoofer in out 2005 Mitsubishi Endeavor. MR459828.Sound quality seems to be equal or better. Problem being the rubber tore so long ago that I do not remember what it sounded like before. Sure is nice to be able to turn the bass back up again.A couple installation notes:You will have to cut the factory plug and strip the wires.The RF woofer has a rubber cover over the magnet, this will have to be removed for clearance against the outside fender. It just peels right off the magnet.The mounting holes for the OE woofer and RF differ. You will have to drill pilot holes and reuse the original screws.The OE woofer has a spacer with foam seal on the front. you can pry this off and glue it to the RF to seal against the interior panel.While this is not a direct replacement, with a little patience and some supplies it works just fine. That I didn't have to pay my Mitsu dealer $300 for it sure feels good as well.

I have both in a box that replaced my center console. You can't beat them for the price and they go great with other RockfordFosgate components that make up the system.
