wow, this speaker does the boat very well. i am running this sub to a pyle 300 watt 2 channel amp bridged in a center console of a seafox 236 off shore fishing boat. it sounds awesome. we are going to get the 6.5" mtx for the mids and highs next...cant wait

MTX years ago was among the top subwoofer producers, now their just in the mix with the rest. Performance vs. specifications is pretty much on the money with this model. The quality was good but I ended up getting something much better. They just don't stand out above the rest like they used to. I would recommend this item to others for Marine use or areas where water and moisture might have a presence.
