They’re designed with rust-proof mesh covers for quality protection. The PLMR53 is a 150-watt, 5.25” two-way, full-range speaker suitable for marine use. This speaker is equipped with a 1” high temperature voice coil for smooth mids and lows and a ½” neodymium dome tweeter for the sweetest highs. The molded ABS plastic basket keeps your sound distortion-free. Package includes mounting hardware and wires.

Le prix est bon, ils sont étanches donc idéales pour un bord de piscine, ils sont facile à installer, la qualité du son est bonne, J'ai bien aimé leur look. Ils ont l'air facile à casser, mais pour l'instant le plastic tiens bon, il a l'air de bonne qualité, et pas de problème d'étanchéité. Le son est bon et j'hésite même à en acheter pour ma voiture...

Fortunately, these speakers don't cost too much because you essentially get what you pay for - average quality and average sound.Although advertised as marine speakers, they aren't really built robust enough for active boats. For example, the mount for the speakers is a simple threaded insert in the rear. OK for non-marine use, but quite unsuitable for a moving vehicle since they won't stay in position and they rotate around that single point.And the threaded screw mount? They both pushed into the speaker as soon as I tried to thread anything into them. Ended up taking both speakers apart to glue that mount back in position.The spring wire insertions aren't the best choice for a boat either. The jostling around of wires would be better served by a strong screw post.Sound quality is also lacking. The highs can be piercing, but the lows are not accurately produced. Listening to classic rock brought out severe distortions (mostly buzzing) to voices of Buffalo Springfield, CSN, and Elton John. Since I'm only driving these 150W speakers with a 50W amp, there should be no distortion from overdriving. They simply don't produce a clean, low distortion sound.Although the product description and package claim the speakers come with mounting hardware, they don't. You're left on your own to figure out how to mount these things.Just mounted these in the boat and will post an update after I get some 'mileage' on them on the water.Update:OK, I've used them for the latter part of the fishing season. They served me OK and didn't fall apart or anything - even after crashing over waves on Winnipesaukee in my bass boat. Sound is still OK with them since I probably don't need the best fidelity while I'm fishing. If it was too good, I'd probably put down my rod, sit back, and enjoy the music on slow tournament days... I do have them mounted beneath the consoles where they don't really get very wet. Can't tell how they would do in a more exposed location.
