This Rockford Fosgate 8" subwoofer grill is very well made. The frame is cast aluminum, a little over 1/16" thick. The grill is stamped sheet metal. For less than $5 shipped it's a very good value. The problem is, it did not fit over the ring of my Rockford Fosgate Punch P1S4-8 8" subwoofer (with Kevlar cone). This newer subwoofer model uses a "Flex fit" mounting system on the mounting ring which contributes to the problem.This grill most likely works with the old Rockford Fosgate Punch P1S48 8" subwoofer with the polypropelene cone (note the lack of a "-" in the part number). However this grill does not work with the new P1S4-8 8" subwoofer (with Kevlar cone) even though they are both "P1" series.I ended up making my own grill out of metal window screen and hot-glued it to the trim ring included with my subwoofer.It's too much bother to send this grill back so I'll just keep it.

This is a quality speaker grill for my sub and it fits perfectly.However, considering my P1 sub is not an expensive sub, I'm a little annoyed that I had to spend around half the cost of the subwoofer on just a speaker grill. I feel this should have cost less. That's why 4 stars only.
