By CDP
Ordered the Weatherproof case for A Boss Marine Radio, But it won't fit. Boss makes their cases for someone elses Radio's I guess. Boss needs to Make A product that Works, at least, for their own products. This is A piece of work.

By mike4420
This thing is no good. First of all I had to cut away some of the front opening to make my boss head-unit fit, then then the door hinge broke. It's also a lot bulkier than it needs to be, and the gimble mount is fixed so you'll need a square foot of space in which to place it. It came with a wiring harness for some other model of stereo, some brackets that don't go to anything and another piece of plastic to insert some other type of device, but that doesn't seem to fit or have any pre-drilled holes in order to mount it. The gasket that is supposed to make it waterproof is useless as there is none in the back where the wires come out, so if you were planning to put this on the exterior of a boat you will definitely have major problems. I ignored the other bad reviews because I thought it matched my system, It'll probably end up in the trash very soon now that I've spent a few hours and $40 messing around with it.

By greenemann
I bought this housing for a humid outdoor area. I was assured by Boss customer service that it was ideal for my application.I installed a Boss marine head unit in it that was designed to internally dock an iPod.The iPod stopped playing after less than an hour. I removed it from the head unit to find it displaying a Temperature Alert.I called Boss tech support and was told that this is a common problem with this housing. The tech went on to tell me that the head unit I'd installed can reach 100c at the amp fins in open air.So I'm returning both the head unit and the housing and recommending that you think twice about investing in any Boss products.I've heard nothing but bad things about Boss since buying. I only wish I would have heard before purchasing and investing the time and energy to install.
