As has been mentioned, these do NOT have grills. Installation was simple, and they sound nice and clean. They do not have big bass, but I wouldn't expect any 5.25" to have big bass! What they do have is clean. In all, a nice medium priced speaker.

I thought i was only buying a cheap substitute for my broken 12-year old kickers (couldn't afford to buy new sets of kickers) for my system for my '02 Toyota 4Runner composed of a JBL 625W 4-channel amp that would drive these and a pair of 6 1/2 Pioneer TS-G1043R (which i also bought from amazon), a Kenwood 800W 2-channel amp to drive 2 Pioneer Champion Series 12' subs. I tell you....these are comparable with the top of the line speakers out there. Very balanced, very good mids and highs (i don't know about the bass because i turned it off from the jbl built-in crossover), does not distort on very high volume. Right now, all my speakers are pioneers and i'm very, very happy with my system!!!

this will fit a toyota 4 runner 1998 back doors if you make some changes like this guy did [...] you can make it work well. better then the stock speakers. best speakers for the price, no complaints cant ask for more.
