My Alpine 12" SWR has some throw to the cone and it was rubbing the back of my seat badly. It was wearing the rubber off of the surround of the speaker on the seat like a pencil eraser shredds. I had to buy some black silicone and I resurfaced 2 little sections I felt were worn thin. I had better cover it or the sub was going in the garbage really soon. I got this grill cover ordered and I wasn't excited about the price. After I received it I can see where the money went. It came with quality screws with plastic fasteners that are ideal for this powerful subwoofer. Then a rubber trim surround that covers the hardware channel flawlessly. I put it back in the Jeep and it has all the room it needs to throw. Sounds better and is safe. The grill is designed strong and looks GREAT as a finishing touch. The cover is universal for 12" SWS or SWR with both labels and hardware for either sub.

Loving the thought that went into the grill system on the alpine SWR and SWS with this grill (it does fit SWS and you even get a blue badge instead of the R red. Be prepared to remount your sub in it's box when you receive this item despite appearing that you won't have to when looking at the sub in person, it has a mounting system that uses the mounting holes. love it!
