I purchased these speakers to replace my blown out stock speakers for my 99 Forester. The speakers work great and sound great. You can hear new parts to your music that I could not get with my old speakers. The sound is crisp, clear, and the bass hits hard. I would suggest though that if you are to purchase these speakers you will also need a amp for them or you will not get the full potential out of them. My deck only puts out 50 watts, so I had to get an amp to get up towards that 260 watt mark. installation was fairly easy, just had to drill some new holes in the door to get them to fit snug. I would definitely recommend this product.

Bought these speakers to replace some Rockford Fostgate p1653 (3-way 6.5in punch) speakers and the difference is astounding. These speakers don't push much in the way of bass but instead they are very heavy on the highs. They are very pronounced in the high hat and cymbal crashing ranges from a wide variety of directions. The snare hits sound simply realistic. Voices sound realistic and are not horrendously overpowering like my old speakers were.My advice, buy them! They are a great upgrade to any car and you will be blown away. I recommend using them with a 4 channel amp and having a subwoofer of sorts as well. Mine is a sealed box but I think that I will soon be fabricating a ported box because I like the punchy sound that they produce.Edit -After using them for about a week, they still impress me every time I get in my car. I am running a pair of these and an mtx thunder 12inch sub. Can't say enough good things about these...

Sounds good but not as great as the polk audio mm651, but at least this pioneer fit my BMW 323ci with some modification on the speaker adaptor unlike the mm651 which sound better but can't make it fit on my car. It is worth the money though.....well i have to update my review, this speaker sounds great more than better than the polk audio mm521 that i put on the door panel since the mm651 i have returned because it wont fit in my car's door panel..... i should have bought the 5.25 of this pioneer instead of the polk audio, i highly recommend this speaker, price less but performs and sound so much better.
