i got this amp great price loved it works beautifully and then one day about 4 days later just stopped working may be manufacturing defect but was inconvenient for me so i got the boss onyx 5500 even better and so much more reliable. i reccomend the boss onyx its worth the 50 -60 dollar for and extra 1500 wats of peak power and 750 of rms power.

Ok first you should know I've now had the phantom 5000(Had to be refunded money because didnt come from amazon.com) that went up in smoke because of a faulty protection switch that could of set my car a blaze!!! Now.. that I couldn't exchange it I figured I would just use the refund to purchase a new one.. HA! The price has now went up 20 or so dollars... ok took the loss (Like an idiot!!) and purchased the BOSS PHANTOM 4000D amplifier.. OMG Other than being poorly poorly made the BOSS PHANTOM 5000 wasn't bad.... it accepted 0 gauge wire, had four 40amp fuses!! Sounded good.. downgrade to this amp BOSS 4000D WOW BS!!!! First off it claims to push 1600 watts RMS @ 4Ohms.. NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!! It only has three 40amp fuses.. 120amp??? My stock alternator will push that!! Second... BY BY 0 gauge hookups just plain old Metal on Plastic terminals CRAAAAAPPPP!!!!! I HAVE 0 GAUGE ALL THE WAY AROUND and this amp can't even puch 2 L7's? They are only 750 rms a piece!! This amp claims to push 2600 RMS @ 1 ohm.. My L7's weren't barely banging at all.. gain was 3/4 and boost was all the way!!.. If your gonna go boss and go cheap.. GET THE 5000d Phantom waaaaaay better TRUST ME!!! I MEAN WAAAAAY BETTER!!!

Awesome power for a great price, get this most definitely. i love mine, runs my boss phantom 12s clean and hard.
