I had an older Clarion radio/cassette in my SeaRay bowrider. It was proving difficult to figure out how to remove the old speakers from the boat mounted housing, so I started by replacing the radio. I haven't done this in awhile, so I was a little apprehensive, but easily figured out how to uninstall the old radio from the existing harnesses, antenna, and dash mounting. Of course the harnesses did not fit the new radio, but the markings on the existing harness and the one included in the kit where easy enough to connect together. I didn't need a new dash-cover, so didn't use that.It worked first time and sounded great on the old speakers. I used this radio primarily with my Android phone connected to the AUX port and was impressed by the crystal-clear sound. The radio sounded good too, but there is a lot of static when the boat is running. I'm not sure how to shield it (or the antenna) from engine electronics. The radio has a lot more volume without distortion. I can now hear the music clearly while the boat is running. Amazingly, the old speakers sound good, but I'll replace them with these new ones in the future when I have time. Overall, I'm very happy with this low-cost upgrade for my boat.
