Pyle’s Hydra series speakers are water resistant and designed for use in your boat, on the dock, by the pool, or simply mounted outside. They’re designed with rust-proof mesh covers for quality protection. The PLMR63 is a 200-watt, 6.5” two-way, full-range speaker suitable for marine use. These white speakers are equipped with a ½” neodymium dome tweeter for rich highs and a 1” aluminum voice coil for accurate sound reproduction. The molded ABS plastic basket keeps your sound distortion-free. Gold plated plug terminals reduce noise and make connections a breeze. Includes wires.

Bought some for my son's birthday when he put them up they looked good. Now it becomes interesting. They went out wakeboarding (second time since installing the speakers). When they went over their own wake the plastic brackets, that hold the speakers to the tower, broke. I called PYLE they said to send them in (would not accept photos). I did,to the tune of 60 some dollars. So now on top of what I spent initally, I had another 60 invested. They assured me that they had replaced the plastic brackets with metal ones. When we finally received the new ones (after numerous phone calls) guess what. . . . speakers with plastic brackets. So here I go again calling PYLE they sald they would send the aluminum brackets. We finally got them. Well actually we got one set. Had to call Pyle once again to get the second set. This took, all an all, about two months. We put them on and guess what, first time out, BAAAM they broke at the speaker base now, almost hit someone on the head, bounced off the boat, and sank. So here I go again, calling PYLE.I know everyone there by now. They pretty much said if I could send them back, once again ( for another 60 bucks) they'd see what they can do (if anything). I told them there's one on the bottom of the lake and since I dont scuba dive, I can't get it. So they pretty much said " SORRY CHARLIE". When I tried to call them back and try to work out some sort of solution to this dilemma (hell we were on a first name basis by now, thought we were friends)I was hung up on , not once , but twice. I'M out like almost 300 buck's so if anyone had any problem's like this please call me PLEASE 928-680-9556 ask for KevinPYLE PLMRB85 8-Inch 300-Watt 2-Way Wakeboard Speakers (Black)

Decent sound quality. I am a fan of Pyle products and their applications. I understand inexpensive applications, compromised feature lists, and value trade offs based on niche marine, outdoor, and motorcycle markets.Bought a set for the family wakeboard boat so that we could bring music to the lake. This product did that for a few weeks.As you would guess, aluminum colored painted plastic mounts do not have the same durability and tensile strength as aircraft quality billet aluminum mounts (even if they look the same in product pictures). Wakeboarding marine activities include vibrations, shock, slamming and UV intense usage and storage. The price is low and durability is less. I was attracted to the low price, and yet still disappointed by the short life. The mounts failed immediately. In one case, the lightweight cable and clip "safety system" did it's job well. It prevented the failed speaker mount from hurting a boat passenger as it unceremoniously released a speaker from the tower cage.The speaker internals are decent, the the housing and mounts could not last a full summer season. I would prefer self destruction after at least 2 seasons, understanding that more expensive products likely last forever.
