Selenium D405 TRIO Professional Compression Phenolic Driver 2" Throat
Product Description
Compression driver with compact dimensions, facilitating its
installation in boxes with small size. It has high sensitivity and low
distortion with medium frequency response. Can be used in cases
of sound reinforcement (PA), studio monitors or boxes of return
(stage and side-fill). This performance is achieved by the excellent
combination of its components:
The cover is injected using special aluminum, optimizing
dissipation of heat generated by the coil. It finish machining
diamond protected by varnish.
The phenolic diaphragm, dome type, ensures efficiency and
durability, even when exposed to large displacements due to high
powers.
The acoustic transformer "Phase Plug" is injected aluminum
and designed to minimize phase cancellations. It also has finish
machining diamond protected by varnish.
The magnetic assembly, has a high flow, inside a ring of
aluminum short circuit that prevents the modulation of the
magnetic field, whose rapid changes and intense signal invariably
distort. Moreover, the gap magnetic assembly has in its interior, a
magnetic fluid (Ferrosound ®), which provides better balance and
excellent dissipation of heat generated by the coil.
The coil is made with wire resistant to high temperatures and
rolled into a Kapton ®, resulting in a set of great stability and
strength.
The driver has the mouth of 50 mm (2 ") diameter allowing
direct coupling to the horns of the same diameter throat.
The mobile set (repair) has perfect self-centering and is easily
replaceable in the event of any defect.
