Had never heard of MTX, but I bought this amp to drive a Kicker KM-10 subwoofer in our boat. I bridged the two channels to combine the power per the instructions. It's about half the size of the comparible Clarion marine amp so you have more options for permananent mounting. The one-page instructions made connections a snap. Connections are gold-plated and option switches are sealed with a clear plastic cover to keep water out. Called the company with a question and they were very helpful. Got "thump" in our boat for a modest price. Overall, I feel very good about this purchase.

Upgraded system on boat. This 2 channel amp is used as mono to power 1 bazooka tube. I also purchased the 4 channel MTX amp for the 4 Focal speakers. The amp was easy to install. It's in my engine bay and has never overheated. It has plastic guard that gives water protection for the amp settings. Very well built amp for harsh marine environment.

I have this amp hooked up to 2 Memphis 6.5 inch compression tube speakers on my wakeboard tower.This amp pushes them great. The amp only comes with 2 connecters assuming the buyer will bridge so you will need 2 more connecters if you are running 2 speakers.
