5Good speakers
By David J. Wheeler
I have 1 pair in my 17 ft jet boat and they are very strong clear speakers. They are also easy to handle when installing because the face plate it attached to the body.

4outdoor speakers
By William M. King
Bought these as replacements for 25 year old outdoor speakers that went belly up.....with minor adjusting these fit into the original speaker housing and the sound is awsome....Initially I went to Audio Express for these same type of speakers and they wanted to charge $600 plus...I walked out! found these and am very pleased

4lets get real here.
By great goodie
I like them, and I'm not going to lie at all either..I'd purchased PYLE's PLRMK2A so called "foh-hunna-watt" matched marine system that had claimed to be mp3 player compatible. I've heard crying kittens that were louder than that, until I used a little FiiO headphone booster between the mp3 player and the amplifier. sound output became almost acceptable, I shouldnt have needed the headphone booster for something claimed to be mp3 player compatible. the amp was pretty inadequate.(idk how 11w per side is magically "foh-hunna" ok.)ticked off, I picked up a pair of these 8's to drive with my good old SONY exm502 amp thats an honest 50 watts per channel RMS 100 watts peak MAX. this pair sounds really good, but the 50 watt per channel SONY amp is also threatening to shred em a new one, no joke.I'd honestly rate their REAL POWER handling capability to be an actual 35 to 40 watts max, but thats not how manufacturers are rating their products anymore, sadly.. by todays "standards" I'd estimate my little 10 watt single channel guitar practice amp gotta be at least "TWO-HUNNA-WATT!", right? I'm not saying these speakers are bad, just being honest here. if you have an amplifier that can push an honest-clean 150 watts per channel by what was "good old days acceptable standards", you can darn sure expect to turn this pair of speakers into puddles of melted plastic real quick!what passes as "standards" today, I wont attempt to estimate what a "good" or "adequate" amp for this pair is gonna be nowadays, but by "old standards", beyond 40 REAL watts per channel may be asking for trouble.PYLE's rating, "300W PEAK POWER" doesnt specify whether its intended to each speaker, or 150+150 as a pair.. and I really doubt theyed disclose the real world results of trying to feed them an actual 150 watts of sound power by the older, more honest-modest standards.I'm not saying these arent good sounding speakers, I'm just being honest. my old SONY 50W per channel amp is borderline threatening to kill em! keep that in mind. I'm also reading SONY's exm502 specs from their own service-repair manual while writing this review, it sure doesnt say this amp is "FIVE-HUNNAH-WATTZA-POWAH!" as so many manufacturers today will ridiculously claim.
