By 3lbpuppy
We looked for a long time for a headrest DVD player to keep our 18-month-old son entertained on long car trips. We found an abysmal lack of information online, so we took our chances with this Roadview unit even though it had only a single unhelpful review on Amazon. We are very pleased with the final product.First, the installation is the only thing keeping me from giving it a five-star review. The manual shows little more than a picture of the wires with no real guidance for how to hook it up. The wires include two 3-plug RCA connections; one for the output to connect another headrest for watching the same movie, and one input for connecting a video game system or alternate source. The power connection is only a red wire for power and black wire for ground. After some research online I leaned that we would need to connect the unit to the fuse box using an add-a-fuse, although I was hoping to hook it up using the electronics under the seat. Once we had the add-a-fuse, the installation was fairly simple. Fortunately I had some electrical wiring on hand, because the wires were not long enough to run to the fuse box.As far as the DVD player itself, everything works remarkably well. The screen is huge, which makes the headrest enormous, even in our Suburban. Our son will not wear headphones, so we needed a unit that has built-in speakers. They are quite solid on this model, and are plenty loud enough even at highway speeds. The picture quality is good. We use the remote to navigate the menus, although we have to reach back from the front seat to make it play. We opted to power the unit from a circuit that is always on, so the DVD will continue to play even when the engine isn't running. But even after we turn it off, it picks up the movie from where it left off.Overall, we are very satisfied, and some day we plan on purchasing the companion headrest with the monitor only.

By Simon Ha
The actual product is not a side load. Instead of loading and ejecting from the side, the screen flips up for loading.I was told by the E&B Electronics that they told Amazon repeatedly to update the image but Amazon has not responded. Also, I was told the picture shown is an older model.Amazon: get your act together! Now I have to return the product because of your inaccurate product representation.
